My hubby has an old college room mate who lives with his wife and son who is only 1 month older than Turbo in Albuquerque, so we thought we could go for a weekend visit and see the Balloon Fiesta while we were at it.
Although the weather wasn't cooperative on Saturday night for the evening glow, we were able to hang out, introduce letterboxing to Hayden, see some balloons, and go for our first EVER family road trip-together!
The boys did great, and mom and dad didn't freak out! :)
Turbo had one meltdown, but other than that, he did awesome. We were able to use some therapy exercises that we have learned to divert a full-blown meltdown, and had a successful weekend!
One awesome thing that came out of the weekend was Tank finally walking a good amount of steps! We even have a picture of him "walking in the land of enchantment!" Good thing - I was born in New Mexico and I had to take him back to the homeland! ;)
